FAQQuestions jewellers ask us, answered.

Straight answers about the Bespoke Sales System, the Complete Jewellery Store and working together. Pricing depends on your set-up, so it is covered on a short call or by quote.

The Bespoke Sales System

Do I need to replace my current website?

Not for the Bespoke Sales System. It adds an enquiry and appointment journey to the website you already have. If you want a new online shop, the Complete Jewellery Store includes the same enquiry system.

Which website platforms does it work with?

We look at your platform and how your current enquiry forms work during the walkthrough, and confirm whether it is a good fit before anything goes into your quote.

Will this get me more enquiries or sales?

We don’t promise new traffic or guaranteed sales. The system helps you handle the enquiries your website already receives more consistently: each one is captured, acknowledged, qualified and given a clear next step.

Can customers book a consultation online?

Yes. After a few qualifying questions, serious buyers can choose a consultation slot from the availability you set. You decide the consultation types, their length and your hours.

What does the qualifying step ask?

Typically the budget range, the design type (an engagement ring, a remodel or a bespoke piece, for example), the timescale and style preferences. We agree the exact questions with you, so the first conversation starts with the right context.

The Complete Jewellery Store

Is Shopify a good platform for a jewellery business?

For many UK independents selling stock online it is a practical choice, with secure checkout, payments and shipping settings built in. Whether it suits you depends on your catalogue, your EPOS and how much you sell by appointment, so we recommend a platform after the walkthrough, not before.

Can my shop show “price on request” and book viewings for high-value pieces?

Yes. You can mix pieces sold online with pieces shown as price on request, with a request or viewing booking in place of the checkout. The Ostelle concept store shows how this works.

Can product pages show metals, ring sizes and diamond details?

Yes. Ostelle demonstrates a metal switcher, ring sizes with a size finder and a provenance passport for each diamond. Which features fit your shop and your product information is agreed in your scope.

How many products do you set up?

The Complete Jewellery Store includes setup for up to 50 products, with standard shipping zones, rates and order notifications. Exactly what product setup covers is confirmed in your written scope.

Is Ostelle a real shop or one of your clients?

No. Ostelle is a fictional concept store Karma-Tech built to demonstrate what a jewellery store can do. It isn’t client work and nothing is for sale.

Working together

How much does it cost?

It depends on what you need: the enquiry and booking journey on your current website, or a full online shop with products, payments and shipping. After a 15-minute walkthrough you receive a fixed written quote with the scope and timeline before any work begins, and payments are made in stages. If you would rather ask first, message Chad on WhatsApp or by email for a quote.

How long does it take?

The Bespoke Sales System has a target installation of 10 business days once access and content are provided. A Complete Jewellery Store typically takes 1 to 2 weeks. Your written scope confirms the dates, which depend on timely access, content and approvals.

Who owns the website, domain and accounts?

You do. Your domain, platform, payment and customer accounts stay in your name, and customer payments go directly to your own payment provider.

How do payments work?

In stages. For the Bespoke Sales System, half to begin and half after the agreed tests pass. For the Complete Jewellery Store, half to begin, a quarter on design approval and a quarter on launch acceptance. Monthly support only starts once you are live.

What if something we agreed doesn’t work?

Your team tests the complete agreed journey before the final payment is due. If we cannot deliver the agreed functions because of our failure, and cannot remedy this within 5 business days of written notice, we refund the setup fees paid. Final scope and remedies are confirmed in your service agreement.

What does monthly support cover?

Monitoring, maintenance, fixes and defined small adjustments, starting at launch. It isn’t unlimited redevelopment. Monthly support can be cancelled on 30 days’ written notice; any hosting or third-party subscriptions then need to be maintained separately.

What isn’t included?

Advertising and traffic generation, payment-provider fees, advanced 3D configurators, bespoke EPOS or ERP integrations, major revisions and custom features beyond the written scope. Applicable taxes and third-party fees are extra.

You’re based in South Africa. How does that work for a UK jeweller?

Cape Town is one to two hours ahead of the UK, so Chad works during your business day by video call, email and WhatsApp. Everything is written in UK English and set up for UK customers, from ring sizes to delivery information.

What happens on the 15-minute call?

Chad shows you the system or the concept store, asks how enquiries reach you now and what happens next, and tells you honestly whether it is a fit. If it is, you receive a written quote. There is no obligation.
